“The gunas, the sutlest of nature’s energies
Are the very bases of light, matter and the mind
As the incontestable karma and desires as we pass from soul to soul
The answers we seek in life are intertwined in the very nature of our beings
All the way back to creation itself
As defined within vadic texts, our essention to our higher self
The tapping into the very thread of our premorial essence
Our current matrix indoctrinates us to seek all only through scientific exploration
But by escaping rationalisations upon rationalisations
And instead tapping into the forces of nature
Hidden around and within, we open ourself to the bliss of the purest spirit
The three gunas bring about the process of cosmic growth
Where the soul evolves through the kingdoms of nature
Experiencing birth and death, happiness and sorrow
In our various embodyments as we seek for our truth
Namaste”
The Julo Trilogy is not merely a collection of music — it is a lived journey, a philosophical and emotional unfolding expressed through sound, story, and soul.
Each part — 霊的覚醒 (Spiritual Awakening), 壊れた感情 (Broken Feelings), and 不屈の希望 (Unquenchable Hope) — is a reflection of a profound personal evolution. Only when experienced together, does the hidden architecture of the trilogy reveal itself: a direct embodiment of the Three Gunas from Hindu philosophy — Sattva, Tamas, and Rajas.
These forces are ever-present in the world and the self, each necessary, each incomplete without the others. They form the rhythm of existence itself — awakening, breaking, striving — a cycle that defines and completes us.
Julo Pt.1: 霊的覚醒 - Spiritual Awakening embodies Sattva — the clear, balanced energy of illumination.
It begins in stillness, with a mind awakening to its deeper nature, where awareness reveals itself gently, like morning light through mist. The music here breathes with spaciousness and quiet intention, inviting the listener to a place of calm discernment and introspection. Each transition is smooth, each sonic space carefully composed to allow reflection without disruption.
This phase mirrors my own experience of spiritual clarity — a moment where I felt aligned, present, and aware of my true self. Yet, as with all light, it casts shadows that must be confronted.
Julo Pt.2: 壊れた感情 - Broken Feelings plunges into Tamas, the dense, heavy force that obscures and fragments.
This album is my most personal and painful — born from the wreckage of a profound heartbreak and the ensuing emotional collapse. It is the sound of a mind in turmoil, of feelings too raw to articulate fully in words. The transitions here are intentionally jagged, the compositions sharp and, at times, almost unbearable. It reflects the truth that when life shatters, there is no off switch, no escape from the pain.
The music does not permit comfort — it forces confrontation, a descent into the fog of depression, loss, and grief. Yet, within the heaviness lies the seed of understanding, the necessary dissolution before renewal.
Julo Pt.3: 不屈の希望 - Unquenchable Hope rises as Rajas, the kinetic energy of drive, desire, and transformation.
This is the most structured, the most complete of the trilogy — a testament to rebuilding, to fortifying the self after ruin. Its sound is assertive yet controlled, with an architecture that holds beginnings and endings, symbolized by its defined intro and outro. It is movement with purpose, a forward momentum crafted from the scars of the past.
Here, hope is not a fleeting feeling but a discipline, a conscious act of perseverance — the Japanese ganbaru spirit of enduring with resilience. As the golden lines of kintsugi mend the broken vessel, this album seals the trilogy with a promise: though fractured, we are made whole again.
Yet, the trilogy does not disclose all at once. The deeper connection — the revelation of the Gunas — only surfaces fully at the very beginning of the third album, rewarding those who have journeyed through all three. Each title, quote, and sound is intentional, part of a complex mosaic that may take weeks, months, even years to fully unravel. Some tracks are straightforward, others obscure, requiring not just listening but inquiry.
To truly grasp it, one must revisit the cycle — once, twice, three times or more — each rotation unveiling new layers of meaning, as life itself does when reflected upon with a matured gaze.
For me, this trilogy is not just music. It is a mirror of my path — my awakening, my breaking, my reformation. It is a testament that to know oneself, one must embrace light, shadow, and fire alike. Only through all three can one emerge — not untouched, but complete.
